Harbor Docking was founded in 1953 by the late Captain George D. Carpenter, then a Lake Charles Harbor Pilot (1946 - 1953), due to the need for another tugboat company in the Port of Lake Charles. Through the years, Harbor Docking has grown into a first class Towing Company with modern, powerful tugboats.
Harbor Docking's office is located in Westlake, Louisiana, USA and currently operates three twin screw boats, the Tug EDITH built in 1977 with 3,200 HP, the Tug Allan built in 1980 with 3,900 HP, and the Tug Carl, that was placed into service January 6, 2000, with 4,800 HP. These boats are 100% dedicated to the Port of Lake Charles.

Harbor Docking has assisted in docking and undocking ocean going vessels in the Port of Lake Charles for 50 years, faithfully serving a long list of world wide ship owners and operators.
