TWO NEW TRACTOR TUGS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
Two new Tractor Tugs are under construction in Houma, Louisiana at the Main Iron Works Shipyard.
They will be 105' in length, 38' beam with a 14.5' draft. Horsepower will be rated at 6,140.
Delivery expected October, 2008 for the first hull and the second hull 90 days later.
Engines will be EMD 16-645-E7B driving Rolls-Royce US 255 Z-Drives.
Each boat will be ABS certified and ABS Escort Class.
Each boat will be ABS FIFI One Fire Fighting Class.
